Spanafric Safaris, offers specialized tours of Kenya that cover, the Maasai Mara, Laikipia's Conservancies, Western and Eastern Kenya, the Great Rift Valley and the Coast. We also do birding safaris and organise camping safaris within the country's must see Game Parks, Reserves and Conservancies.

 

Our Team

Our staff are fully certified, fluent in Spanish, English and Swahili, friendly and experienced. They will ensure your travels are adventurous and exciting. Our vehicles are 4 wheel drive, equipped with radio communication, open roof hatch and can accommodate up to 9 passengers, larger groups can also be organised. We are proud members of Nature Kenya and Eco-tourism Kenya.

Philip - Managing Director

Phil (as he is best known), is a highly experienced organiser, passionate about travel and looks after Spanafric logistics, he uses his wealth of experience to advise on the more adventurous trips.

Joan - Operations Manager

Manages the office and has an overwhelming amount of experience in tours, travel, Administration and Advertising. Joni, shares the same passion for birds and love of adventure.

George Kamau - Chief Guide and Driver

aspiring Ornithologist with a Diploma in Tour Guiding and Administration, certified by KPSGA, a Wildlife Specialist, fluent in Spanish, English and Swahili.. George takes his clients seriously, ensures that you are comfortable whilst on safari and shares the love of adventure with the rest of the office!

Elizabeth Wanjiku - Customer Care

Certified IATA Tours and Travel, Certified in Amadeus Ticketing Systems, Fluent in Spanish, English and Swahili. Elizabeth assists in the general administration, reservations, meet and greet and general correspondence.

  • Bird watching tours to Lake Baringo, Lake Bogoria, Lake Victoria, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Samburu, Kakamega and Mombasa forests, just to name a few.

  • A fantastic full day or half day tour of Nairobi's historical sites.

  • A site-seeing tour of Mombasa's 16th Century past.

  • Game drives to the National Parks and Reserves, right up to the Saiwa Swamp National Park.

  • Via Nyeri en-route to the Laikipia's Conservancies to see Black and White Rhino's.

We organise Eco-Adventure holidays with home-stays in the local communities, for those who would like a "working" but fun holiday. We want to help make a positive difference to the communities and environment - join us on this adventure!

 

Who we work with

Shailesh Kumar Patel - Professional Bird Guide

Shailesh, was born, and educated in Nairobi Kenya, where he has lived most of his life. Shailesh is certified by the Kenya Professional Safari Guide Association (KPSGA). His extensive experience in wildlife and Ornithology is excellent. He is a Member of the Nature Kenya's Bird Committee.

Peter Kinyua Muriithi - Professional Bird Guide

Peter holds a higher diploma in Tour guiding and administration, he is also certified by the Kenya Museum Society in Ethnography, Natural History, Prehistory art, wildlife conservation and Flora & Fauna of Kenya and East Africa. Peter has over five years experience in Ornithology and is fluent in Spanish, English, Swahili and Kikuyu and is a member of Nature Kenya.
